Marshel Alexander Byler
Marshel was born on September 19, 1914 in Brewer, Arkansas to James David and Eva Caroline (Rush) Byler. He married Clara Neel on May 24, 1941 in Lunenburg, Arkansas. Clara died on October 30, 1989. He retired as custodian at the Chelsea Post Office. He was a Gospel Minister that enjoyed spreading the word of God to everyone he came in contact with and his passion was reading the bible daily. He went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning July 12th, at Claremore Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by: Two Sons, Kenith and Charles Byler both of Claremore, Oklahoma. Three Daughters, Anne Caroline Harris & husband Bill of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Nona Carpenter & husband Dale of Joplin, Missouri Geraldine Byler of Pryor, Oklahoma. One Brother, Ray Byler of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas. One Sister, Marie Lightell of Edison, California. Grandchildren, Anneliese Piquet & husband Tim of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mike Harris of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Marie Seriprono & & husband Mark of Bridgeville Pennsylvania. Lydia Martin of Vinita, Oklahoma. Mark Byler & David Critchlow both of Kentucky. Step-Grandchildren Linda Bernhardt & Danny Harris of West Germany. Seven Great Grandchildren Five Step-Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: 10:00 Friday, July 15th at the First Baptist Church, located at the corner of 5th & Beech Street in Chelsea, Oklahoma With Reverend Gerald Biswell Officiating. Music by Gerald & Kay Biswell Casket Bears: Pete Delozier, Carl Parker, J. L. Harrell, Harold Nelson, Sean Donelson, E. L. Littleton Burial will follow in the Chelsea Cemetery. Under the Direction of Seaman - Blanke Funeral Service of Chelsea, Oklahoma.
