Mattie Lucy McClaren was born in the state of Montana, May 13, 1866 and passed away January 16, 1941 at the age of 74 years, eight months and three days.

She united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church at the age of 13 years. Later she united with the Nazarene Church at Mt. Rose and later united with the Assembly of God church at Reydon, Oklahoma.

She was married to John R. Taylor August 10, 1885. To this union were born twelve children, Myrtle Mae Taylor Burns who preceded her mother in death; Mattie E. Taylor who also preceded her mother in death; Eva A. De Crocker of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Fannie Fern Ruby of Denver, Colorado; Grace L. Thompson of Buttonwillow, California; John F. Taylor of Wichita, Kansas; George W. Taylor, Paul McClarren Taylor and Verne E. Taylor, all of Reydon, Oklahoma; Verda P. Taylor who died in infancy; Wayne R. Taylor of Reydon; and Agnes B. Meeks of Los Angeles, California.

The funeral services were under the direction of the Fatheree Funeral Home of Erick and Reydon.

The sermon was delivered by Rev. M. A. Hawkins, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, assisted by Rev. Blue of Mt. Rose.
