Dora Mae Abbott Robison was born January 1, 1911 in the Dempsey, Oklahoma community to Adeline Amelia and Harry Rivers Abbott.

She passed away July 24, 2003 in Sayre Memorial Hospital, Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years 6 months and 23 days.

Dora Mae grew up in the Dempsey community and attended school at Sunny Point, Grimes and Rankin.

She was married to Orville Bliss Robison at Sweetwater, Oklahoma on December 25, 1928.

They lived in Groom, Texas; Magdelina, New Mexico; and Sayre, Oklahoma before moving to the farm at Reydon to make their home.

Dora Mae was a member of the Dempsey Home Demostration Club and she enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sons, Donald Ray, Norman Dale, Sr. and James Franklin; and two brothers, Harry King Abbott and William Frank Abbott.

Services were held Monday, July 28, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Reydon Church of Christ, officiated by Fred Riley and Chuck Milner.

Burial was held at White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.

Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Porter and husband J. T. of Reydon, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Margaret June Robison; Orville D. Robison and wife, Teresa; Clayton Robison and wife, Ellen; James Porter and wife, Diann; Billy Porter and wife, Donna; Shirley Porter Roane and husband, Wilbur; Jerry Robison; Norman Robison, Jr, and wife, April; Dalea Robison; twenty one great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Velma Dean Robison of Follett, Texas; Natalie Robison of Leedey, Oklahoma; and a host of relatives and friends.
