GWENDA BEALS MARSHALL
1973 - 2011
Gwenda Beals Marshall was born October 1, 1973 in Dumas, Texas to Pamalee and Gary Lee Beals.
She passed away May 22, 2011 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 37 years, 7 months and 21 days.
Gwenda grew up and graduated from high school at Reydon, Oklahoma.
During high school she was a member of the horse club, 4-H, FFA and played basketball. As a junior in high school she began working for the Whinery family in the local funeral home. After graduating in 1991, she moved to Sayre where she continued working for Rose Chapel before moving to Elk City where she had Makala in 1994 and later she moved to Reydon where she had TY in 1996.
Gwenda continued to live in the Reydon community where she held a job in Erick before beginning at Elk City Nursing Home where she furthered her education receiving her Certified Nurses Assistance certification. In 2006 she began working for Red River Transportation where she was responsible for delivering meals and taking the elderly to doctors appointments.
She was preceded in death by her father, both grandfathers and her grandmother.
She is survived by her two children, Makala McDare of Sayre, Oklahoma; and James Ty McDaris of Elk City, Oklahoma; her parents, Pam Chandler and husband, Jerry of Reydon, Oklahoma; grandmother, Joyce Beals of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; one sister, Lorie Womack and husband, Robert of Elk City, Oklahoma; two nieces and two nephews, Jessica Cavazos, Anthony Cavazos, Samatha Cavazos and Cody Hayhurst; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held May 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at White Rose cemetery officiated by Chuck Milner.
Burial will be at the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com.
