Jr. was born to Foster and Mamie Leonard on September 29, 1927.  Jr. spent his first few years of schooling at Merritt and Canute until 1945 when the family moved to Sweetwater.  He graduated from high school from Meridian in 1946. Jr. met Elsie Mae Isch in 1948 and married in 1949. To this union 7 children were born:  Janice, Carolyn, Marilyn, Gary, Sherry, Steve and Ann. Jr. worked various jobs along with farming until 1964, when they bought their home and farm south of Reydon, OK. They lived and worked on the farm where all 7 of their children graduated from Reydon High School. In 1970 Jr. began working for the county of Roger Mills, driving a road grader. He served the county for 23 years on and grader, until he retired in 1993.

Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Ruth Moore (Winfrey Moore), Aldena Farrell (Dale Farrell), Mary Miller (Norval Miller), his brother Jack and daughter Sherry Guzman.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Elsie of 70 years, his surviving 6 children, a host of grand kids, great-grand kids, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Jr. lived a robust life between farming, raising children, baling hay and working cattle. Jr. loved supporting his neighbors and community. When there was a job to be done, you could depend on Jr. to help out. Dad's final words to Elsie were, "Stay with me mom, I'm not going to make it".
