Thelma Bavalee Lane Bowen

Thelma Bavalee Lane Bowen, 63, of Erick was born December 28, 1920 in Willow, Oklahoma to George W. and Gracie Thelma Lane and passed from this life Wednesday, September 22, 1984 in St. Anthony's Hospital, Amarillo, Texas.

Mrs. Bowen lived in western Oklahoma before moving to Erick in 1952 where she lived at the time of her death.

She had been a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church for a number of years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Darlene Cummings of Borger, Texas; three grandchildren, Bevalee Moore, Johnny and Larry Cummings; three great grandchildren, Jeremy and Chris Logan and Laura Cummings; one brother Sye E. Lane of Elk City; two sisters, Mussetta Spain of Weatherford; Leora Gray of Pampa, Texas; as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Eddie Overstreet, Saturday afternoon, August 25, 1984 at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with interment in the White Rose Cemetery.

Rose Chapel Funeral Services of Cheyenne was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Leon Lane, Joe Lane, Wayne Salyers, Harold Salyers, David Gilmer and Dewayne Lane.
