Orville Franklin "Dink" Barker, age 82 of Sayre, passed away Wednesday January 12, 1983 in Sayre Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 29, 1901.

Services were Saturday, January 15, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. in the Reydon First Baptist Church with Eddie Overstreet officiating.

Burial was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel of Sayre.

He married Vivian Atha on September 19, 1927 in Sayre.

They lived in the Reydon Community until 1981 then moved to Sayre.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Reydon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Barker; one son, Troy Dean; a brother, Earl; and three sisters, Mildred Butler, Ruby Barker and Hazel Howell.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian; one daughter, Mary Lee Gibson of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Therease Broden of Houston, Texas; David Gibson and Robert Barker, both of Stillwater, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Barker of California; three brothers, Arthur of Sayre; Fred of Clarksdale, Arizona; and Glen of Kingman, Arizona; five sisters, Vera Byers of Truxton, Arizona; Leora Sullenberger and Edith Brown both of Sayre; Creda Miller of Texola, Oklahoma; and Ruth Hughes of Reydon, Oklahoma.
