Jesse T. Barker was born February 25, 1918 in Rankin, Oklahoma sie Lavona and William Barker and passed away July 8, 1996 in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 13 days.

Jesse grew up in the Rankin-Reydon community.

He later joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and after returning, he married Mozelle Sweetman on October 5, 1938 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

They moved to California remaining there for a few years before moving back to Oklahoma where they made their home in the Reydon area.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Taylor; four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife Mozelle of the home; four daughters and sons in law, Jessie and Troy Harmon of Reydon, Oklahoma; Shirley and Arnel Bryan of Pampa, Texas; Willene and Don Burke of Mobeetie, Texas; and Patsy Ann and John H. Brown of Elk City, Oklahoma; four sisters, Willie Doyle of Colwell, Idaho; Wilma Penny of Stockton, California; Myrtle Clay and Beatrice Michaelson, both of Yuba City, California; thirteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 1996 at the graveside service officiated by Alberta Helton. Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
