Oliver Frailey Selby

Oliver Frailey Selby was born in Cowley, Kansas July 31st, 1876 and departed this life January 14, 1948 at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 24 days, at his home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
He was married to Lottie L. Smith, February 1, 1896 at Chandler, Oklahoma. To this union fourteen children were born. Five preceded him in death.
Those surviving are Mr. Frank Wells of Elk City; C. S. Selby of Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. J. M. Swopes of Brush, Colorado; Mrs. T. E. Swopes of Reydon; Orville Selby of Strong City; Alonzo Selby of Elk City; Mrs. Clarence Samples of Leedey; and Dillard Selby of Pleasanton, California; a brother, W. F. Selby of Stroud, Oklahoma; twenty seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Charles Simpson, Methodist pastor at Shattuck, assisted by Rev. D. L. Heath, Assembly of God pastor of Reydon on Friday, at the Reydon community building.
Burial was in Union Chapel cemetery north of Reydon with the Tunnard Funeral Home in charge.
Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Willie Selby, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Hull, Mrs. Elsie Habble and Mr. and Mrs. Will Selby all of Stroud; Winfred Selby of Oklahoma City; Mr. and Mrs. Parvin Hooper of Perryton, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith of Roll; Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Selby of Roll; and all of the children of the deceased.

Oliver Frailey Selby was born July 21, 1876 and departed this life January 14, 1948 at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 24 days.
He was married to Lottie L. Smith at Chandler, Oklahoma, the first day of February 1896.
He moved to Roger Mills County in 1904, near Reydon.
To this union were born fourteen children, five preceded him in death.
Those surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lottie L. Selby; children, N. W. Selby, Bessie Wells, C. S. Selby, Mrs. J. N. Swopes, Mrs. T. E. Swopes, Orville Selby, Alonzo Selby, Mrs. Clarence Samples and Dillard Selby; twenty seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, W. T. Selby of Stroud, Oklahoma; and a host of relatives and friends.
