Robert L. "Bob" Donaldson

Robert L. "Bob" Donaldson was born on July 11, 1896 in Indian Territory to Frank and Martha Donaldson and passed away October 26, 1981 after an extended illness at 85 years of age.

On July 28, 1926 he married Myrtle Maude Minor in Wichita Falls, Texas.

They lived in the Katy and Duke, Oklahoma communities after their marriage before moving to Strong City. They moved to their present home south of Cheyenne over 45 years ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle of the home; three sons, Jerol Lee of Santa Monica, California; Meral Leon of Los Angeles, California; Lonnie A. of Canadian, Texas; three sisters, Naomi Cottrell of Lodi, California; Medie Nesmith of Stockton, California; Mousey Williams of Lane, Oklahoma; three brothers, Clyde of Meads, Oklahoma; Leo of Cache, Oklahoma; Harvey of Tracey, California; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Services were held in the Cheyenne First Baptist Church with Aubrey Cowan and A. L. Martin officiating, Thursday, October 29, 1981 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers were Eddie Tom Lakey, Ivan Minor, Kent Flaherty, Ronald Baker, Charles Minor and Mac McDaniel.

Honorary Pallbearers were Solen Spitzer, Raymond Blair, Price Howell, Dr. F. K. Buster, Tom Ford and Babe Frankford.

Arrangements were made by Rose Chapel Funeral Services of Cheyenne.
