Rosetta Hensley Boswell

Rosetta Hensley Boswell was born March 10, 1904 at Clifford, Day county, Oklahoma Territory.

She was the third child of Thomas Jefferson Hensley and Sarah Lane Walker Hensley.

She died October 9, 1986, at Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma after an extended illness.

"Rosie", as she was known by her many friends was married to William Thomas "Tom" Boswell on November 22, 1923 at Sayre, Oklahoma.

To this union were born one son, Eldon and twin daughters, Wanda and Nelda.

She spent her entire life in Roger Mills county having attended school at Clifford and later at Durham.

She was a charter member of the A B C Home Demonstration Club, a longtime member of the Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Eldon Boswell of Cheyenne; two daughters, Nelda Davis of Strong City; and Wanda Purcell of Cheyenne; six grandchildren, Tom Davis, Jim Davis, Linda Jenkins, Arthur Trammell, Mark Boswell and John Tom Boswell; seven great-grandchildren; one brother and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Boswell, her parents, two brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, October 13, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with A. L. Martin and Aubrey Cowan officiating.

Interment followed in the Strong City Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
