Ruby Jewell Duke Sattler was born February 9, 1930 in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma to Winnie Fae and Wester W. Duke. She passed away November 18, 2015 at Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 9 days.
Ruby moved with her family from the Sandstone community to the Midway community where she attended grade school.
The family later moved to Crawford where Ruby continued her schooling until graduation in 1949.
She and her sisters attended Magnolia Baptist Church and all of them were baptized there.
Ruby furthered her education in Amarillo where she obtained her LPN license.
In 1955 she was married to Andy Frisbie and they moved to California where Ruby began working in various nursing homes and care facilities. After her husband's death in 1965, she continued her life in California working as an LPN.
She met and married Carl Sattler and they continued to make California their home until Carl passed away.
In the early 2000's Ruby bought a house in Reydon where she continued to live until she became ill and moved to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area to be near her sister.
Ruby was a member of the Durham Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting, singing and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Andy Frisbie; second husband, Carl Sattler and one sister, Nadine Duke.
She is survived by two sisters, Lois Ator and husband, Leon of Amarillo, Texas; Vinita Fair of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Connie Davis of Amarillo, Texas; Dennis Ator of San Antonio, Texas; Cheryl Wilkinson of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Ken W. Fair of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Bryce Fair of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Sheila Johnson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Yvonne Penninger of Georgia; Karla Miller of Norman, Oklahoma; Susan Wynette of Florida; Myra Steele of Florida; Lara Steele of Norman, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends.
