Carl Monroe Rose was born in Oklahoma near Crawford on January 30, 1913, departed this life March 4, 1933 at the age of 20 years 1 month 4 days.
He joined the Baptist church in 1927 and lived true to his Lord.
He was left an orphan at the age of 22 months when Mrs. F. E. Bull became his foster mother and he remained there until he became sick with lockjaw then he was taken to the Shattuck hospital on February 24, 1933. He remained there until his death.
He leaves to mourn his departure two sisters, Miss Lillie Rose of Canadian, Texas; and Miss Nellie Rose of Bluff Dale, Texas; his grandmother, Mrs. Martha Keahey of Crawford, Oklahoma; his foster-mother, Mrs. F. E. Bull of Crawford; one foster sister, Mrs. Lola Rorabough of Perryton, Texas; four foster brothers, Mr. Lony Bull, Perryton, Texas; Mr. Ervin Bull, Crawford, Oklahoma; Mr. Floyd Bull, Lefore, Texas; and Mr. Roy Bull, Crawford, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives.
He was a kind and loving brother, son and friend.
Rev. Wright of Strong City conducted the funeral services at 2:30 o'clock at Crawford.
Pall bearers were Melvin and Cecil Smith, Lloyd and Edgar Harper, and Lee and Jim Flue.
Flower girls were Mildred Young, Sylvia Ross, Alice Mae Gary Lola and Viola Painter and Ruth Miller.
He was laid to rest by the side of his parents and one sister in the Roll cemetery {now Silent Home cemetery} Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
