Michael Lee Roark was born August 21, 1979 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Lawana and Deryl Roark. He passed away July 4, 2003 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 23 years, 10 months and 13 days.
Michael was raised in Cheyenne and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1998.
Skyla Rene Allen Roark was born July 12, 1978 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Patricia and Jackie Allen. She passed away July 4, 2003 in Amarillo, Texas at the age of 24 years 11 months and 22 days.
Skyla lived in Vici until moving with her family to Roger Mills County where she attended Cheyenne High School, graduating in 1997.
Michael and Skyla were married in Cheyenne, Oklahoma on November 20, 1998. They made their home west of Cheyenne with their sons, Hunter and Trapper.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lee Roark; and a brother, Shane Roark.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jack Allen.
They are survived by their sons, Hunter and Trapper Roark; their parents, Deryl and Lawana Roark; and Jackie and Pat Allen, all of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; his sister, Derylin Roark, and a brother, Shawn Roark, both of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; her brother Rocky Karl Allen and wife, Dena of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; his grandparents, Josephine and Oliver Daugherty of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Sue and Ben Snell of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Raymond Hyman of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; her grandparents, Karl and Patricia Bauer of Woodward, Oklahoma; Opal Allen of Crawford, Oklahoma; his great grandmother, Vera Caudle of Roll, Oklahoma; her niece, Tenley Fae Allen; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the families of Michael and Skyla request memorial donations be made to the education fund for Hunter and Trapper which has been set up at Security State Bank, P.O. Box 470, Cheyenne, Oklahoma 73628.
Services were held Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Cheyenne School Auditorium, officiated by Terrell Romberg and Larry Parvin.
Burial was held at the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
