Lowell Dwight Malson

Lowell D. Malson was born September 2, 1909 east of Roll, Oklahoma to Georgia Loree and Daniel Andrew Mason and passed away June 8, 1993 in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 6 days.

Lowell attended school at Five Star and married Hazel Marie Riley on November 24, 1935 in Reydon, Oklahoma. They lived in the Crawford Community before moving to Leedey in 1942. They moved to the Durham Community in 1947 where they farmed before moving to Roll in 1989 to make their home. Lowell and Hazel would have been married 58 years this October. He was a member of the Crawford Church of Christ.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters; an infant sister, June Hill, Josephine Albright, Mildred Ward, Edna Calvert and one brother; Floyd.
 

He is survived by his wife, Hazel; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Darla and Don O'Hair; Loree and Melvin Summers; a son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Janet Malson; 3 brothers, James, Doyle and Willis; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
 

Services were at the Cheyenne Church of Christ, Friday, June 11, 1993 with Earl Reed and Willard Cox officiating.

Interment in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
 

Pallbearers were: Tim Malson, Bob O'Hair, Steven Stanley, Randy Malson, Kenny Sylvester, Marty Summers, Chip Anderson. Honorary pallbearers were: Wayne Barber, Jesse Wright, Floyd Harmon, Hoover JOnes, Randall Calvert, Johnny Cannon, Robert Bachmann. Rose Chapel Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
