Johnny James Malson

Johnny James Malson was born August 30, 1907 near Roll, OK to Daniel A. and Georgia Loree Malson and passed away February 11, 1994 in the Leedey Nursing Center, Leedey, OK at the age of 86 years 6 months.
 

James attended school at Five Star School near the home where he frew up. He lived in the Crawford and Roll communities for many years. He was a member of the Crawford Church of Christ where he led singing and taught Bible classes.
 

James worked many years in wheat and broom corn harvest for many area farmers and later worked as a carpenter with his brother in law Mr. Herbert Hill in the Elk City and Crawford communities.

James moved with his mother to Elk City, OK in 1945 and resided there until he became a resident of the Leedey Nursing home in 1992. He married Eula Gates Reed on October 30, 1969.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters: Enda Calvert, Elizabeth, Marion June Hill, Mildred Ward, Josephine Albright, and three brothers, Floyd, Lowell and Doyle.
 

He is survived by his brother Willis and Lennie Malson, of Durham, OK; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Floyd Malson, Hammon, OK and Mrs. Lowell Malson, Roll, OK, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatvies and friends.
 

Funeral services were held Monday, February 14, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. at the Crawford Church of Christ with Earl Reed officiating.

Interment will follow in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
