Carol Earlene Lucas, daughter of Ike and Brilla Lucas was born December 17, 1956. She passed away in Shattuck hospital June 5, 1960 at the age of 3 years, 5 months, 20 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing her parents, Ike and Brilla Lucas of Durham; one brother, Frank Dean of the home address; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lucas of Durham; and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Aderhold of Anadarko; two uncles and their families, Junior Lucas of Roll and Donald Lucas, also of Roll; one aunt and family, Mrs. Helen Rice of Reydon; and a host of other relatives.
Services for Carol Earlene were held in the Crawford auditorium Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Lloyd Martin Crawford and Rev. Laddie Adams, Cheyenne officiating. Committal was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins of Cheyenne.

LUCAS CHILD DIES FROM BURNS
Carol Earlene, 3 1/2 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ike Lucas of Crawford died Sunday, June 5, 1960 from burns suffered on May 19, 1960 when butane fumes ignited in a storm cellar where the family had gone for refuge from an approaching storm.
The father and mother were both severely burned and are still hospitalized. A two month old baby, the other member of the family, was wrapped in a blanket and had only slight burns.
