Delbert Dalen Lantz was born near Fairbury, Nebraska on December 25, 1896, the son of Lewis and Margaret Lantz. He departed this life April 15, 1966 at Cheyenne Hospital at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 21 days.
 

When he was two years old his mother passed away. One sister and one brother had died in infancy. When he was 5 years of age he and his father moved to Custer City, Oklahoma.

His father had filed on a homestead near Durham, Oklahoma. In 1907 he moved to the homestead at Durham.

In 1918 he was inducted into the army serving his country in World War I receiving his discharge in 1919.

He was united in marriage to Luella Montgomery at Strong City, Oklahoma on July 4, 1931.

To his union three boys and one girls were born, the three boys dying in infancy. One sister, Edith preceded him in death in 1940.

He has been a member of the Church of God for 35 years.
 

Survivors include his wife Luella of the home in Cheyenne; one daughter Margaret Crawford and Delbert Crawford, son-in-law of Elk City, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Melba Jean and Delbert Luthan Crawford, and other relatives and friends.
