Winnie Fae McClennahan Duke was born August 31, 1906 in Gurdon, Arkansas to Ona Mary Sally and James Thomas McClennahan and passed away February 25, 1993 in her home at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 24 days.
She moved with her parents to Roger Mills county in 1928.
Winnie Fae married Wester Winnette Duke on April 7, 1929 in Elk City, Oklahoma.
They farmed in the Midway and Crawford communities until moving to Clinton in 1955 then to Enid before moving to Ft. Supply in 1959 where they made their home.
She attended the Ft. Supply First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Ricky Ator; three great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include four daughters, Ruby Sattler of Ojai, California; Lois Ator of Amarillo, Texas; Vinita Duke of Clearwater, Florida; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Zelda Poplin of Ardmore, Oklahoma; brother, Biggs L. McClennahan of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 1993 at the Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church officiated by Bill Tendell, and assisted by Eddie Overstreet.
Interment was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Home.
