William Henry "Bill" Caudle, 85, was born August 30, 1901 in St. Paul, Arkansas to James Columbus and Olive Victoria Caudle.
He died August 22, 1987 at the home in the Roll community following an extended illness.
He moved with his parents in 1919 to Roger Mills county, later living in Texas for a short time.
On December 19, 1927 he was married to Vera Beatrice Beauchamp in Taloga.
They lived in Dewey and Roger Mills counties, making their home in Roll.
He worked in construction and was a farmer.
His parents, two sisters, three brothers and one great grandson preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Vera of the home; four daughters, Opal Allen of Crawford; Dorothy Smith of Roll; Florence Burgess of Amarillo, Texas; Kay Caudle of Winslow, Arizona; ten grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; three sisters, Gertrude Flemings of Claremore; Effie Mae Archer of Portland, Oregon; Cordelia Archer of Strong City; one brother, Paul Caudle of McLoud; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the Magnolia Baptist Church Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., with Clyde Denney and A. L. Martin officiating.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Services, Cheyenne.
