Esther Lenora Davis Boatwright was born September 22, 1912 in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma to Willie Louis and James Lafayette Simpson and passed away July 5, 1992 in the Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 13 days.
Esther moved with her parents to the Roll community in 1929.
She lived east of Roll before moving to Crawford in 1948 where she was a cook for the Crawford schools.
Esther married Charley Davis on June 19, 1962 and they continued to live in Crawford before moving to Cheyenne in 1975. Charley passed away in 1982.
She married Otto Edson Boatwright on September 20, 1986 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and they moved to Plainview, Texas.
Esther moved back to Cheyenne in 1990 to make her home.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one son; four brothers; three sisters and one great granddaughter.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 1992 at the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, officiated by Juanice Parkhurst, and assisted by Willard Cox.
Interment will be in the Silent Home Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Survivors include two daughters, Maxine {Roy} Williams of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Alice Evelyn Branch of Boise City, Oklahoma; and one son, Gerald {Carolyn} Montgomery of Crawford, Oklahoma.
