William "Ray" Beals was born May 19, 1933 in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma to Henryetta and William Thomas Beals. He passed away August 24, 2016 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 5 days.

Ray grew up in Roger Mills County and attended Five Star Schools. After Five Star Schools closed he attended Breezy Meadow Schools. After leaving school he began helping his father on the farm and later participated in share cropping. He was married to Wilma Mae (Denney) Beals at Ft. Worth, Texas on September 6, 1955. They lived in the Ft. Worth area for a short period of time, until moving to Pampa, Texas. After living in Pampa for a few years they moved back to Oklahoma where they made their home on the family farm where they owned and operated a dairy. In the early 70's he began his career in the oil field working as a roughneck and continued working his way up to a salesman. Ray later obtained employment with Roger Mills driving a truck hauling rock and shale. He retired in 1996 and enjoyed tending his gardens, yard work and spending his time visiting with family and friends and taking care of his wife, Wilma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wilma, 2 sisters, Pearl Lacey, Lois Sprowls 3 brothers, Jim Beals, Lloyd Beals and Harold Beals.

He is survived by his 4 children, Jeanice Touchstone and husband, Duane, Leedey, OK, Sharon Moler and husband, Robert, Elk City, OK, Tamara Davie and husband, Doug, Sayre, OK and Michael Ray Beals and Randi, Woodward, OK; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Bernice Smith, Pampa, TX; 3 brothers-in-law, David Denney, Cheyenne, OK, Ed Reinschmidt, Custer City, OK and Louis Sprowls; 1 sister-in-law, Joyce Beals, Elk City, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
