Allabelle Louise Tindell Allen was born May 18, 1928 in Beckham County, Oklahoma to Stephen and Ether Bingham Tindell. She passed away November 28, 2008 at Liberal, Kansas, at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 10 days.
She was married to J. R. Allen at Wheeler, Texas on December 29, 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1983.
She is also preceded by her parents; a daughter, Lovina Gail; and grandson, Ryan Gaskill.
Louise leaves wonderful memories with her daughters, Christina Wells and husband, Greg; Janice Gaskill and husband, Mike, all of Liberal, Kansas; June Hartley and husband, Charlie of Durham, Oklahoma; her son, Larry Allen and wife Dena of Liberal, Kansas; nine grandchildren, Kevin, Timmy and Traci Hartley, Terry Conn, Kristi Brazel, Rusty Allen, Jason Ott, Cheri Bevis and Ryan Gaskill; twenty great grandchildren; three sisters, Lola Smart and Wanda Dodd, both of Sayre, Oklahoma; and Mary Bridge of Franklinton, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Louise dedicated her life to family, milking cows and raising turkeys in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
On February 11, 1962 she and J. R. were baptized and became members of the Reydon First Baptist Church.
In 1963, they moved to a ranch north of Chadron, Nebraska and later traded the ranch for a place in Williamsburg, Missouri.
In 1967 they wintered their herd on the Texas-Oklahoma line and rented wheatfields. In the spring they moved to Moscow, Kansas. They remained there six years before moving to the Sand Hills near Ross, Nebraska.
After J. R. passed away, she moved to Durham for two years and helped June and the grandkids, before returning to Moscow to help her daughter, Janice with harvest time.
She enjoyed her home there and helping with her grandchildren, who also spent their summers with her in Nebraska and they can all tell of some very interesting experiences that happened on the ranch.
She resided in Liberal for two years before moving to Wheatridge Care Center in April of 2008.
Louise enjoyed attending the Moscow Baptist Church, working in her yard and garden.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Silent Home Cemetery or the Moscow Senior Center.
A celebration of her life was held December 1, 2008 p.m. at Reydon First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Alberta Helton and Bro. Ray Smart.
Burial followed at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
