Submitted by: Wanda Purcell

Thomas Albert Simpson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Harrison Simpson, was born May 5, 1877 in Golden City, Missouri and departed this life December 14, 1946 at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 9 days.
Mr. Simpson died suddenly in his home while talking to his sons, Thomas and Herman who lived with him.
He came from Indian territory in 1899 and filed on a claim in Roger Mills county near Sptizer's corner where he has resided every since.
In November of 1905 he married Mary Jane Reynolds. To this union were born twelve children, three of them preceded him in death, and his wife passed away in an Elk City hospital February 28, 1936.
Immediate survivors are his children, Thomas Flyn Simpson of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Cecil Simpson of Cheyenne; Henry Simpson of Berkeley, California; Floyd Simpson of Oklahoma City; Herman Simpson of Cheyenne; Roy Simpson of Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Beulah McLean of Pampa, Texas; Miss Bertha Simpson of Pampa, Texas; Mrs. Frona Branson of Karnack, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Thomas L. Cox of Oklahoma City; several grandchildren and numerous friends.
Mr. Simpson, a member of the Methodist church, was a good husband and father, a loyal neighbor always ready to lend a helping hand and a friend to everyone he knew. He was truly one of the "Old Timers" and will be greatly missed from the community.
Interment was in the Rose Hill cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Sayre Funeral Home, Moore-Allen Funeral directors in charge.
