Services for Almer A. Dunlap, 75 year old Canute resident who died Sunday December 11, 1966 in an Elk City Hospital were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Church of Christ with Albert Trent and Oscar Smith officiating. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
Mr. Dunlap was born November 24, 1891 near Jacksboro, Texas, and came to western Oklahoma in 1897 when his parents homesteaded in Custer County in the Colter community where he grew to manhood.
He was married to June L. Ballew in 1913.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Willie of the home; one son, O. B. Dunlap of Sundown, Texas; one brother, Ernest Dunlap of Elk City; one sister, Mrs. Alfred Rennels of Carpenter; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, his parents and one brother.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Savage Funeral Home, Elk City.
