Ruben Harvey "Bud" Dodson

Funeral services for Ruben Harvey "Bud" Dodson will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, October 26, 1959 in the First Baptist Church Hammon. The pioneer Oklahoman died October 23, 1959 in an Elk City Hospital.
Born May 11, 1898, Dodson came to western Oklahoma in 1919 settling in Roger Mills County. He moved to Elk City in 1954.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Flora Smith Dodson of the home; three sons, Buster of Cheyenne; Frank of Grimes; and Sam of Hammon; two daughters, Ruby Boggess and Sarah Faye Kirk of Elk City; nineteen grandchildren; one great grandchild and one sister, Mrs. John Varnell of Sayre, Oklahoma.
Burial will be at Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Oklahoma with Savage Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
