Funeral services for Harold Davis, of Hamm, who died in Community Hospital, September 18, 1974, were conducted from the First Baptist Church in Hammon Friday, September 20, 1974 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Ivey and Rev. Billy Parvin offciating.
Burial followed in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis was born April 24, 1909 at Thomas, Oklahoma and came to Hammon with his parents when he was one year old, and has resided there since; he was 65.
He was married to the former Elois Stalcup May 12, 1934 at Elk City. She survives him.
He owned and operated a garage in Hammon until 1971 when he retired.
He was a membef of the First Baptist Church and IOOF Lodge, and was a former City Councilman, also was presently president of the Red Hill Cemetery Board, and was on the City Police Force.
Surviving besides his wife, Elois are seven sisters, Mrs. Bertie Jones and Mrs. Estiline Hammons of Hammon; Mrs. Ernestine Leary, Mrs. Beulah Watkins and Mrs. Rena Stringellow, all of Bakersfield, California; Mrs. Lula McDonald of San Leandro, California; and Mrs. Carey Albert of Omaha, Nebraska; also a brother, Clarence Davis of Taylor, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Harry Davis; a brother, Clyde Houghland and an infant sister, Artisie Davis.
