Submitted by: Wanda Purcell

Rodney A. Caster, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Caster of Hammon, suffered fatal injuries when his car collided head on with a truck on a dusty highway three miles north of Hammon early Sunday night August 25, 1935.
The youth was enroute from Hammon to Moorewood around 7:30 Sunday night. At a point about three miles north of Hammon he started to pass a north bound car. Dust was heavy and he apparently could not see the truck coming from the north. The truck driver also was blinded by lights of the car and the dust and the machines struck in a head on collision.
The youth is survived by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
Interment in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
