Jane Ann Bowen was born July 23, 1945 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Loy Lorene (Christian) and John Truman Flick. She passed away November 26, 2019 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 3 days.

Jane grew up in Hammon, Oklahoma where she attended school graduating in 1963. After graduation she furthered her education at Panhandle A&M College in Goodwell, Oklahoma. She met and was eventually married to Julian Glen Bowen on May 29, 1965 at Hammon, Oklahoma. Jane completed her bachelors degree in physical education in 1967 and began her teaching career at Elkhart, Kansas. While in Kansas Jane and Glen began their family. In 1982 they moved to Cheyenne and later to the Hammon community in 1988 where they have resided ever since. Jane was an outstanding teacher and educator where she devoted 36 years of her life to the children that she taught and came in contact with. She received the Northeast Teacher of the Year award, started woman's basketball at Elkhart, Kansas and coached girl's state track team in Elkhart, Kansas as well. She also enjoyed being a member of the Strong City Baptist Church, Red Moon Culture Club, antiquing, beekeeping, quilting, stained glass and traveling but her greatest fulfillment in life was being a grandmother and being call "Grammer".

She is preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law, Glen and Ruth Bowen.

She is survived by her husband, Glen, of the home; 2 children, Julie Zumwalt and husband, Chris, Ft. Worth, TX and Stacy Bowen, Hammon, OK; 1 grandson, Zane Zumwalt, Ft. Worth, TX; a special companion and diabetes service dog, Willow, of the home; 2 sisters, Mary John Carter and husband, Bobby Hammon, OK and Susan Grabeal and husband, Larry, Hammon, OK; 1 brother, David Flick and wife, Effie Mae, Yukon, OK; 1 brother-in-law, Jammie Bowen, Amarillo, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, Oklahoma City OK Office, 3000 United Founders Boulevard, Suite 108, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
