Flora May Walker Ackley

Flora May Walker was born September 5, 1881, at Riverton, Nebraska passed away February 20, 1947, at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 15 days.
She was married to James Theodore Ackley September 1, 1898. He preceded her in death in 1933. They came to Custer County on 1895.
Mrs. Ackley was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a loving mother and a consecrated Christian.
One son, Walker Ackley, preceded her in death and the following children survive her, Mrs. Retta Creswell of Hammon; George Ackley of Clinton; Hammon Ackley pf Brawley, California; Reed, Buford and Emery Ackley of Hammon; Glenwood Ackley of Los Angeles, California; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Dean of Estancia, New Mexico; a step-mother, Mrs. Myrtle Walker of Butler, Oklahoma; two half -sisters, Mrs. Mable Shoun of Guthrie, Mrs. Dorothy Adams of Leedey; three half-brothers, Clarence Walker of Butler; Earl Walker of Yucapia, California; Orville Walker of San Bernardino, California; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ, Hammon, February 23 with Tommy Hodge, Minister, officiating at 2:30 p.m.
Interment was in the Red Hill cemetery.
