Blanche Melissa Barber Blundell

Blanche Melissa Barber was born October 10, 1891 in Echo, Indian Territory, the daughter of Thomas W. and Clara Ann Barber.
She departed this life March 31, 1963 at Shattuck Hospital at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 21 days.
She moved with her parents to what is now known as the Pie Flat community in 1900.
She was united in marriage to Claude Blundell December 15, 1906 at Roll, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death November 25, 1951.

To this union four children were born. One son, Edgar Lee preceded her in death January 28, 1959.

She and her husband resided on a farm in the Pie Flat community until his passing and she remained on the farm for six years, moving to Cheyenne two years ago, where she resided at the time of her passing.
Survivors include her mother, Clara Barber of Crawford; one daughter, Lois Morrison of Moore, Oklahoma; two sons, Lloyd Blundell of Cheyenne and Harley Blundell of Crawford; two sisters, Maud Hicks and Vauda Brown of Crawford; two brothers, Claude and Frank of Crawford; eight grandchildren, Donald Morrison and Mary Lee Shelly of Moore, Oklahoma; Dolores Chapman of Lawton, Oklahoma; Carolyn Harrington of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Jimmy Blundell of Perryton, Texas; Karen Sue Blundell of Crawford; Stacy and Sandray Holland of Perryton, Texas; five great grandchildren, Bobby, Patricia and Mary Beth Morrison; and Lavita Blundell and Elizabeth Marie Shelly; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
