J. C. Murl Hawkins was born February 1, 1918 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma. He passed away February 18, 2011 in Amarillo, Texas at the age of 93.
Memorial services were held March 5, 2011 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel officiated by Dr. G. A. Roach.
He is survived by his son, Jimmy Hawkins and wife Teresa; daughter Kathy Jo Hawkins; stepson, Paul Richard Owen; granddaughter, Christina Quinn and husband Mike; great grandson, Connor Quinn; brother, Dewitt Hawkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
