Gilbert Anderson, 95, died April 25, 1996, in the Sayre Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 28, 1996 at the Cheyenne First Baptist Church with Terrell Romberg officiating. Burial was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.
Mr. Anderson, the son of Rena and John Albert Anderson, was born on December 11, 1900, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma Territory.
He grew up in Cheyenne and married Maebelle Swartwood on June 12, 1919, in Sayre.
They lived in Cheyene before moving to Nampa, Idaho. After Mrs. Anderson died in 1974, Mr. Anderson moved to Cheyenne and married Lois Maddux on June 30, 1976, in Clovis, New Mexico and they made their home in Cheyenne.
He was a member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Maebelle, two sisters, Virginia and Goldie and one brother, Jack.
He is survived by his wife, Lois, of the home; one daughter, Jeanette Roper of Costa Mesa, California; one grandson, Randy Roper of Costa Mesa; two step-daughters, Beth Tevis of Panhandle, Texas and Vone Rogers of Perryton, Texas; one brother-in-law, Everett Swartwood of Cheyenne; one sister, Mae Perkins of Port Angeles, Washington and several other relatives and friends.
