Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Sweetwater Baptist church for Leonard Truman Roberts, 8 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Grace Roberts.
The boy died Wednesday in an Erick hospital from a streptococcal throat infection. He had been critically ill for several days.
Rites were conducted by Rev. D. D. Barber, Erick Baptist minister.
Burial was to be in the Mulberry cemetery.

THROAT INFECTION FATAL FOR YOUTH
Sweetwater Boy Dies Wednesday After Critical Illness; Rites Are Set for Thursday
A streptococcal throat infection proved fatal in an Erick hospital today for Leonard Truman Roberts, eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Grace Roberts of Sweetwater.
The youth had been critically ill for several days.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday from the Sweetwater Baptist church. Rev. D. D. Barber, Erick Baptist church minister, will officiate at the rites.
Burial will be held at the Mulberry cemetery.
