Susie F. Rainey, the eighteen-year old daughter of A. J. Rainey, was accidently shot and killed Saturday afternoon, May 20, 1911 at her home one-half mile east of here.

She and her small brother were at home alone and it is supposed that the child had the gun in his hand when it was accidentally discharged.

The shot took effect just under the right arm and went straight to the heart killing her instantly.

Burial took place in Mulberry cemetery, Roger Mills county.
