Daniel E. Allen was born April 30, 1912 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma to Mr. and Mrs. William H. Allen and passed away January 27, 1996 in the Golden Age Nursing Home of Clovis, New Mexico at the age of 83.
Daniel was born and reared in Sweetwater.
He married Madge Helen Jones and they farmed and raised cattle in the Sweetwater area his entire life until 1970, when he moved to Belen, New Mexico. In 1995, he and his son, Ken, moved to the Arch community where he enjoyed the countryside, watching the crops and livestock for as long as his health permitted. For the past several weeks, he had been in the nursing home in Clovis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and three brothers.
He is survived by two sons, Ken Allen and wife Betty of Portales, New Mexico and Bobby Allen of Arlington, Texas; one daughter, Eva Jo Condo of Olney, Illinois; six great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 1996 at the Fatheree-Albert Chapel.
Interment was in the Mulberry Cemetery, Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Fathereee-Albert Funeral Home.
