Cora Mabel Bell Snider

Cora Mabel Bell Snider was born February 10, 1910 in Moorewood, Oklahoma to Sophie Elizabeth and Elza Lorena Bell and passed away March 14, 1996 in the Park View Hospital in El Reno at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 4 days.
Cora grew up on a dairy farm in Moorewood, where she graduated from the eighth grade.
She went on to continue her education at Weatherford before graduating from Leedey High School.
In 1935, Cora married Thom Snider in Hammon, Oklahoma and they lived in Leedey for a short time before moving to Webb, Oklahoma where they remained for 9 years.
In 1947, they moved to Elk City, Oklahoma to make their home.
Cora was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Colene; two sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Anna Mae Harrell of El Reno, Oklahoma; and Ruby Bell Talley of Tyler, Texas; one son, Thomas Lee Snider of Perry, Oklahoma; one sister, Annie A. Smith of Fresno, California; one brother, Louis Bell of San Diego, California; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 1996 in the Whinery-Savage Chapel with Rev. Henry Fletcher, officiating.
Interment was in the Dewey Cemetery under the direction of Whinery- Savage Funeral Service.
