Gladys M. McKeeman Perryman

Gladys M. McKeeman Perryman was born December 7, 1922 in Grant County, Oklahoma to George and Kitturah Grace McKeeman and passed away August 31, 2004 at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 24 days.
Gladys endured as long and difficult battle with cancer and will greatly missed by all family and friends.
She grew up on her family's farm in Grant County and graduated from Medford High School. She continued her education receiving a bachelor's degree from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma and went on to earn her Master's Degree at the University of Oklahoma at Norman.
While at college in Edmond, Gladys met the love of her life and on July 3, 1944 she married K. C. Perryman whom she cherished for 53 wonderful years together.
After college graduation, she and K. C. moved to Clinton, Oklahoma where K. C. practiced law. While living in Clinton, Gladys and K. C. started their family with the birth of their only child.
Gladys, K. C. and Kent went on to move to Cheyenne, Oklahoma where they owned and operated the Cheyenne Abstract Company for about 30 years.
She was a loyal and supportive wife to everything K. C. chose to explore, including moving to many different farms they owned such as the Dempsey community west of Cheyenne, then the Red Rock Ranch north of Elk City and the Spring Creek Ranch south of Sayre.
Gladys always enjoyed reading and was a strong believer in continued education.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Johnson and her husband, Donnie of Elk City, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Angela Mikles and her husband, Rodney, of Sayre; Tambra Jones and her husband, Joe of Elk City, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren, Shyanne and Keyton and Matti Jones of Elk City, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, LaDoyce Gage of Delaware; one brother-in-law, Don Pacjham of Bixby, Oklahoma; as well as numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1997; her son, Kent in 1982; and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sayre First United Church with Del Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funderal Service of Sayre.
