Eugene R. "Gene" Brewer

Eugene R. "Gene" Brewer, 83, of Rt. 1, Reydon was born February 12, 1905 in the Dempsey Community to William Darrell and Della Burt Brewer and passed away Monday, April 18, in the Sayre Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Brewer grew up in the Dempsey Community and on January 27, 1926 he and Ruby Lela Jackson were married in Cheyenne. They lived in the Dempsey Community until 1933 when they moved to Reydon to make their home.
Mrs. Brewer preceded him in death on December 25, 1975.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Reydon for a number of years and was a farmer/rancher.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Willa Jean Shelton and husband Bill of Allison, Texas; two grandsons Mark and Rusty; two great grandchildren Ryan and Christopher; as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Reydon with Morris Cook officiating.
Interment was in the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne.
