Robert Wayne Berry was born May 8, 1908 in Hamburg, Oklahoma and passed away September 12, 1991 in the Elk City Nursing Home at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 4 days.
Wayne, the son of Henry Franklin and Mary Eugenia Berry, attended several one room schools including Mt. Rose.
He lived in Roger Mills County until 1947 when he moved to Ft. Worth. He later returned to Reydon in 1949 where he lived until entering the Elk City Nursing Home.
He was a member of the Reydon Church of Christ for a number of years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and four brothers.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Mike McGuire of Ft. Erwin, California; two sons, Clifford Wayne and his wife Jan of Adams, Oklahoma; Dale of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; two sisters, Donna Mask of Wichita Falls, Texas; Margie Fowler of Elk City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Monday, September 16, 1991 at 10:30 a.m. in the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Isaac Snow officiating. Burial followed with Rose Chapel Funeral Services of Cheyenne in charge of arrangements.
