Linda Kay Haas Baker was born June 20, 1952 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Beatrice and Wilbert Haas. She passed away August 23, 2009 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, 2 months and 3 days.
Linda grew up in Sayre and graduated from Sayre High School in 1972.
She was married to Charles Baker on March 15, 1974 and they made their home in the Sunny Point/Grimes area where they operated a dairy for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father; two children, Chad and Jamie Lynn; and one brother, Calvin Haas.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home; her mother, Bea Haas of Sayre, Oklahoma; two sisters, Jan Henson and husband, Greg of Sweetwater, Oklahoma and Bonnie Lowry of Sayre, Oklahoma; four brothers, Sammy Haas and wife Belinda of Elk City, Oklahoma; Billy Haas of Sayre, Oklahoma; Jack Haas and wife Lucia of Milburn, Oklahoma; Darryl Haas and wife Chelsa of Sayre, Oklahoma; her mother-in-law, Ina Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Charlene Hutchins and husband, Herb; and many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Rose Chapel. Interment followed at the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Services.
