William C. "Bill" Bain, Sr., 92 of Sayre, died last Friday January 22, 1982 in Chaney, Kansas.

Memorial services were held on January 26, 1982 in the Sayre Church of Christ with Eddie Beard and Aquilla Fuchs officiating. Burial was in the Dempsey Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre.

He was born August 15, 1889 in Bedford, Kentucky. He moved to Grimes in 1900 in a covered wagon.
He was married to Wilda Bina Morrison on February 28, 1910. She preceded him in death.
He was married to Eula Massie Phelps on June 7, 1924 in Enid. They lived in the Grimes community until moving to Sayre in 1969.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, six brothers and four sisters.

Survivors are his wife Eula of the home; five daughters, Opal Fuchs of Macomb; Crystal Pallo of Phoenix, Arizona; Wilda Jensen of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; Hazel Hamilton of Wichita, Kansas; Juanita Wolff of Sioux City, Iowa; five sons, Williams C. Bain Jr. of Sayre; Dow Bain and Clarence Bain, both of Phoenix; Carl Bain of Dumas, Texas; Billy Wayne Bain of Chaney, Kansas; 50 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; and one sister, Pearl Hall, of Modesto, California.
