Funeral services for George W. Parker were held Wednesday, March 15th, 1950 at the Baptist church in Cheyenne with Rev. Don Anderson, delivering the sermon. Committal was in the Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of the Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne. Mr. Parker died Sunday night, March 12, 1950 at Sayre where he had been ill for several days.
Survivors include four daughters and one son, Mrs. J. E. Dudley of Fullerton, California; Mrs. Richard Smith and Mrs. Jewel Burns of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Mrs. Stanley Harrison of Alpaugh, California; and Bill Parker of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Dee Ross of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Miss Minnie Sneed of Calvin, Oklahoma.
In 1902 he was married to Eva Burnham who preceded him in death. In June, 1948 he was married to Daisy Sanderlin who survives.
Mr. Parker came to Cheyenne in 1908 and resided in this vicinity until two years ago when he moved to El Reno where he resided at the time of his death.
