Frank Rector Calvert was born August 11, 1903 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma Territory in his parent's home to Robbie Ann and Memory James Calvert.
He passed away March 5, 1998 in his home at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 23 days.
Frank married Ivy Lucy Little on December 23, 1923 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and they moved to his parents home place to make their home.
Frank lived on the same farm his entire life of 94 years.
He enjoyed farming and ranching, his lifelong vocation.
He was a member of the Cheyenne United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one grandson; two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving relatives include one daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Ivan Minor of Cheyenne; two sons and daughters in law, Randall and Juhree Calvert of Durham; and Derward and Oweita Calvert of Cheyenne; one brother, Eldridge Calvert of Cheyenne; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 8, 1998 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Jay Tatum and Rev. Robert Harris officiating.
Interment in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Eugene Calvert, Teddy Calvert, Russell Calvert, Joshua Minor, Christopher Minor and Troy Don Calvert.
Honorary pallbearers were Chink Beaty, Eldon Krause, Leland Burns, Charles O'Neal, Leroy Vick and Bob Cogburn.
