Oscar Fenton Yell was born near Sweetwater, Oklahoma May 27, 1902 where he grew to manhood and spent his entire life here among friends.
On September 9, 1923 he was married to Miss Capitola Kelley and to this union three children were born.
He departed this life Saturday, March 10, 1945, at the aged of 42 years, 9 months and 13 days.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Capitola Yell; one son, James Lester; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Leonard and Miss Normanjean; and one grandson, all of the home address. Also his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Yell of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; two brothers, J. O. Yell of Hereford, Texas; W. M. Yell of Wann, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Sanford of Oklahoma City; and Mrs. Jewel Barclay of Amarillo, Texas.
About 23 years ago he obeyed the gospel and united with the Church of Christ in a revival meeting here at Sweetwater.
Burial in Brookside Cemetery, Roger Mills county.
