Mary Ann Breeding Nethery

Mary Ann Breeding Nethery was born July 19, 1867 at Elk Ville, Illinois where she lived until she was sixteen years of age.
From there she moved with her parents to Trenton, Tennessee.
She met and married John Buckner Nethery on June 12, 1884, at Almo, Tennessee. They moved from there to Boynton, Virginia where they made their home until they moved to Oklahoma in 1909. To this union nine children were born.
Mrs. Nethery was converted at an early age and united with the Methodist church and lived a devoted Christian life.
She died June 4, 1938 at the age of 68.
She is survived by he five children, Mrs. Ralph Godfrey of Sayre; Mrs. Jessie Vernon of Sayre; Mrs. Pearl Murphy of Salina, Kansas; John Nethery and Daniel Nethery of Sayre; one brother, Gus Beeding of Steele, Missouri; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Wagster of Cotter, Missouri; and eight grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death on December 27.
Funeral services were held at the First Methodist church, Friday afternoon, June 5, 1936, with Rev. J. L. Davis, pastor of the Sayre circuit officiating.
Interment was made at the Brookside cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
