Troyce Viers

Troyce Viers was born July 28, 1943, in Sayre, Oklahoma to Hilda Fern and William Walter Viers. He passed away February 2, 2011 at Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 4 days.
Troyce grew up in Sayre, Oklahoma graduating from Sayre High School in 1962.
After graduation he started farming along side his father until 1980 when Troyce went to work for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He continued with the Department of Transportation when he returned to farming.
He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, a T-bone Steak, westerns, and the company of his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Royce Viers.
He is survived by his two sons, Timothy Viers of McAlester, Oklahoma and Tom Viers and wife, Christy of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter, Tammy Perkins and husband, Galen of Maumelie, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Colton Perkins, Savanah Perkins and Dakota Perkins all of Maumelle, Arkansas; two brothers, Marvin Viers and wife, Lawana of Sayre, Oklahoma; and Cletis Viers and wife, Michelle of Yukon, Oklahoma; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11:00 at Rose Chapel officiated by Kendell Hamilton.
Burial will be at Berlin Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com.
