Janie Marie Wear Taylor was born in Sherman, Texas on July 19, 1898 and departed this life near Hammon, Oklahoma on June 6, 1951 at the age of 52 years, 10 months and 18 days.
When a small child, she moved with her parents to Oklahoma and on November 11, 1915 she was married to James D. Taylor here at Cheyenne.
To this union were born five children. Two sons preceded her in death, Melvin Taylor as a child and last November, Cpt. Billie T. Taylor was killed in Korea.
Survivors include her husband, James D. Taylor of Cheyenne; two daughters, Mrs. L. O. Griffith of Peoria, Illinois; and Mrs. D. V. Damron of Hammon; a son, Staff Sgt. James D. Taylor, Jr. at Camp Pendleton, California; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Wear of Pinedale, California; three sisters, Mrs. Wallace Payne of Cheyenne; Mrs. Lester Townsend of San Diego, California; Mrs. Charlie Ladd of Pinedale, California; two brothers, Earl Wear of Bend, Oregon; Murel Wear of Pinedale, Callifornia; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Methodist church.
She lived a life of love and friendship to her loved ones and friends. She loved life and tried to live it in its fullness.
Words or music can't express what a beloved wife and mother she was, but we know God saw it was good that she be called away from the heartache, sorrow and sickness that she suffered here to await our coming in a place not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Mrs. Jim Taylor died Wednesday afternoon, June 6th, 1951 following a serious illness of two weeks.
Survivors include two daughters and a son and the husband, besides several sisters and brothers and her parents.
No announcement has been made relative to the funeral plans.
Mrs. Taylor, the former Marie Wear, had resided in the vicinity of Cheyenne practically all of her life.
At the time of her death she and her husband resided southeast of Cheyenne.
