© Roger Mills Democrat

Submitted by: Wanda Purcell

Isaac Sollers died at his home in this city, Friday morning, March 9, 1905, last of heart disease.
Mr. Sollers was an early settler in this country, and is well known in every locality. For a number of years he has been a Star route mail carrier, he and his sons carrying the mail on several routes.
Isaac has been a prominent worker in religious and temperance causes from the beginning of his residence here.
He was prominent in the organization and maintenance of the County Singing Association, holding prominent positions in that organization and was leader of the Elk City class.
He was a consistant and active member of the South Methodist church at this place, occupying the position of superintendent of the Sunday school.
He was also a member of the executive committee of the Law and Order League of Elk City.
Isaac Sollers was an uncompromising advocate of what he regarded as right; and an outspoken opponent of all he regarded as wrong. The community has lost a good man, the family a devoted father and his church a constant and active member.
