Funeral services for Thomas J. Ragins, North Seventh street, who died Monday night, March 4, 1946 at 6:30 p.m. at his home following a long illness were held Wednesday at the Berlin Methodist church with Reverend Garland Wilson officiating.
Mr. Ragins was born February 15, 1859 in Polk county, Illinois.
He settled at Kingfisher in 1887 and moved to Berlin in 1902.
His wife, Sarah Jane preceded him in death in 1940.
He was a devoted church worker for 50 years.
Survivors are his five daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Benson and Mrs. Nellie Mackey of Kingfisher; Mrs. Effie Newton and Mrs. Mindoza Klopfenstein of Sayre; Mrs. Gertie Brown of Palacious, Texas; one son, Eddie Ragins of Salisbury, Maryland; and numerous friends.
Interment was in the Berlin cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Moore-Allen Funeral directors of the Sayre Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
